Groupon – the leading group buying website in the U.S. – asked Energize to increase its leads database in the Chinese market.
The Solution
Take your friends on the most expensive dinner because Groupon pays the bill! We took the thing all Chinese love – having dinner with friends – and turned it into a lead generation campaign for group buying website Groupon (Gaopeng).
How does it work
Every week a group of friends has a chance to win a dinner worth 4.999 RMB at any top restaurant in China. Joining is easy: just fill in your email address, invite your friends and select a restaurant! Groupon joins you and your friends to the dinner, making sure the experience of dining in a top restaurant is captured and shared with Groupon fans on social media.
The campaign increases the leads database of Groupon with valuable email addresses. Furthermore, it gives insight in which restaurants are popular among participants, which is very valuable data for a company doing daily deals with lots of restaurants!
